Highway 127 Bridge And Paving Project Progressing On Schedule

A TDOT bridge construction project on Highway 127 in Fentress County about a third of the way completed.

TDOT Community Relations Officer Rae-Anne Bradley said a 1,425-foot bridge is being constructed over Clear Creek.

“This project is scheduled to be completed on time or before June 30th of 2025,” Bradley said. “There is another project to widen state route 28, U.S. 127 that is currently underway.”

Bradley said the widening project from Lowe Avenue in Cumberland County to north of State Route 62 in Fentress County will widen the highway to a five-lane road. Bradley said the project is on schedule for a 2025 completion, as well.

There will also be significant improvements to the intersection of State Route 28 and State Route 62 in Clarkrange with additional turn lanes, new traffic signals and improved pavement markings.
