Headbutt Leads To Additional Charge For Putnam Inmate

A Putnam County inmate will face a vandalism charge after shattering a window with his head last week.

The Putnam County Sheriff’s Office charged 30-year-old William Collier Vanbeber with vandalism after he allegedly headbutted a window during visitation hours.

Arrest warrants said Vanbeber admitted to breaking the window due to being mad.

The Putnam County Sheriff’s Office said it will cost $918 to install a new window.

Vanbeber had been in jail since December 27, 2018 on charges of probation violation and failure to appear.
