Van Buren County residents made Jessica Grissom the choice for county executive in Tuesday’s Republican Primary.
Grissom received 474 votes to lead the three candidates Tuesday. Laura Wallace finished second with 342 votes while Kevin Bivins totaled 275 votes. Mayor Greg Wilson did not run for reelection.
In the race for Van Buren County Sheriff, Mark Evans led the three candidates in the primary with 568 votes. Jeff Hutson finished second at 243 votes while Steve Turpin finished third at 126 votes.
The race for General Sessions Judge finished with Cynthia Fields Davis the top vote getter with 337 votes. Brandon Griffin finished second at 202 with Matthew Sewell Bailey at 195.
