Algood’s future 22-acre park will include a veterans memorial.
A measure approved by the city council Tuesday allows the Algood Lions Club to help with the project.
The city spent $760,000 to purchase land for the park two years ago. The property sits at the end of Thompson Lane and Main Street with the back lining Mill Street and Highway 111.
Design firms will unveil the master plan for the park during a public meeting scheduled for October 22.
