Friday Night Lights Return to the Upper Cumberland

The long awaited return of High School Football is finally upon us with 7 games for area high school teams this Friday night.

All 3 Putnam County Schools take the field Friday as the Cookeville Cavaliers make the short drive down Hwy 70 to take on Upperman to begin their season while the Wildcats of Monterey High School hosts Mt. Pleasant. Both games are slated to begin at 7pm.

4 more UC Schools look to begin their seasons against each other as WhiteCounty makes the trip up Hwy 111 to LivingstonAcademy and JacksonCounty hosts neighboring ClayCounty. Both games are set to kick off at 7pm.

Meanwhile in CumberlandCounty, The Jets of Cumberland County High host the York Dragons in the season opener at 7pm and Stone Memorial takes a trip to Chattanooga to take on East Ridge. That game kicks off at 7:30 Eastern.

Tiger Country at DeKalb County High starts their 2018 campaign hosting WarrenCounty at 7pm.
