A Highlands Residential Services (HRS) housing unit suffered damage during a Friday afternoon fire in Baxter.
The Baxter Fire Department responded to the Maxwell Street structure at 4 p.m. Chief Matthew White said crews managed to contain the blaze to the living room area of the unit.
No injuries occurred during the fire and a cause remains under investigation.
White estimated that about 50-percent of the unit suffered damage. He said HRS officials will work to find a replacement home for the family affected by the fire.
