Fentress Hope Foundation Hosting 7th Annual Easter Egg Hunt Saturday

Fentress Hope Foundation is hosting its 7th Annual Easter Egg Hunt this Saturday.

Director Ashley Bilbrey said that the Foundation raises funds to help meet the needs of those in the community. She said that every dollar raised stays in the Fentress County community.

“Maybe they’re struggling and they may have a doctor’s appointment and they need help getting gas cards,” Bilbrey said. “Getting gas cards is definitely one thing we help do. Or maybe they’re struggling with an electric bill, that type of stuff is kind of what we do. We bring every need that’s given to us.”

Bilbrey said that the Easter Egg Hunt this Saturday will have thousands of eggs for kids of every age. She said that eggs will be filled with both candies and coupons.

“And with that coupon you may win a bicycle you may win a PowerWheels, you may win a free certificate to a restaurant, there are tons of options,” Bilbrey said. “But every single egg does have a prize. We will also have at the event a lady doing hot dogs and drinks and stuff like that.”

Bilbrey said that their goal is to have a fun event for the entire community to enjoy, especially the people they help.

“But we also want to be able to help them have fun and enjoy our community and come out to South Fentress Park which is in our community,” Bilbrey said. “Just fellowship, and meet people, and maybe we might find a need there that we can help meet. But mostly it’s just neighbors helping neighbors within our community.”

Bilbrey said that registration for the hunt starts at 10 a.m. She said that tickets cost $5. For more information, you can reach Bilbrey at (931) 397-0300.
