Birchwood – Sandhill Crane Festival Presented By The TWRA will be held on January 18 and 19 at the Hiwassee Refuge and Birchwood Community Center from 8 am -4 pm. The festival is a celebration of the thousands of Sandhill cranes that migrate through or spend the winter on and around the Hiwassee Refuge. This event is free and open to the public.
