A Saturday morning fire destroyed a duplex in Putnam County.
The Putnam County Fire Department responded to the corner of Paran Road and Hilham Road at 8 a.m.
Captain Jeff Hicks said a total of 19 volunteer firemen worked for about four hours to extinguish the flames.
Hicks said no injuries occurred. The occupant of the structure was not home when the fire broke out.
Investigators have not determined the cause of the blaze.
Emergency personnel closed a portion of Hilham Road for several hours as crews worked to out out the fire.
The roadway has since been reopened.
