Dale Hollow Dam Road will close to all traffic on November 1 at 8:00 AM.
The road will be closed to allow work to be done on the dam’s head gates. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers said that because of how extensive the work is, there is no scheduled reopening date but expect work to take roughly one month.
Traffic will be closed to pedestrians and bicycles. This will allow room for equipment to be stationed and utilized during maintenance.
The road will have a barricade at the intersection of Walker Ridge Road and Will Terry Road, as well as Dale Hollow Dam Road/cut through road intersection.
The road closed in July for the same work to be done on the equipment where water enters the turbines.
