Dale Hollow, Center Hill Campgrounds Open Monday

Corps of Engineer campgrounds are reopening at Center Hill and Dale Hollow Lake Monday.

Center Hill Supervisory Natural Resource Program Manager Kevin Salvilla said social distancing will be strongly encouraged.

“Safety is paramount,” Salvilla said. “Obviously we want people to come out and have fun, we want people to follow the CDC guidelines, and to make good smart choices when they’re on or around the water.”

Salvilla said restroom cleaning will be more frequent, and face masks will be encouraged in public gatherings. He said signs explaining CDC guidelines will be placed throughout the parks.

“We’ve taken a lot of steps to make sure that while people are here that they’re going to be safe,” Salvilla said. “We can not guarantee everything, but we’re going to do our part to make sure people feel comfortable while they’re here and enjoy their stay.”

Corps of Engineer campgrounds are closer to the water. Salvilla said these campgrounds have water and electric hook ups, dump stations, and restrooms.
