Cummins Falls Ornaments Available Through Jackson Historical Society

The second ornament in the Jackson County Historical Society’s Christmas series of historic places is available for purchase.

Last year, ornaments were designed after the county courthouse. Treasurer Eldin Pippen said Cummins Falls gets the spotlight this year.

“The ornament is a replica of the falls,” Pippen said. “It has a little bit of the fall foliage seen on it and the water of course.”

Pippen said the ornament series began last year as Gainesboro celebrated 200 years since incorporation. Pippen said collectors, tourists or residents can find the item for sale at the Jackson County Historical Museum and at First Freedom Bank.

“It’s a Christmas ornament, or it could just be a souvenir to people visiting the park,” Pippen said.

Pippen said the $20 price helps pay the operations of the museum. Pippen said for an extra $5, you can get an ornament mailed by contacting the Jackson County Historical Museum at 105 Montpelier Avenue, by phone (931) 268-4863 or send your information and payment to P.O. Box 874, Gainesboro, TN 38562.
