Cummins Falls Hosts First-Ever Geminids Meteor Shower Event

Cummins Falls State Park is hosting a new nighttime campfire event on Wednesday to celebrate the annual Geminid Meteor Shower. Park Ranger Jordan Fraley said the event will include hot dogs, s’mores, and a fifteen minute long presentation about the meteor shower. Tennessee Tech Senior Notices Flaw In Cummins Falls Flood Sensors

A Tech student working on his senior thesis discovered a flaw in the Cummins Falls State Park flash-flood sensors. A flood warning system was installed after a sudden rain event proved deadly in 2017. Cummins Falls Ornaments Available Through Jackson Historical Society

The second ornament in the Jackson County Historical Society’s Christmas series of historic places is available for purchase. Last year, ornaments were designed after the county courthouse. Four UC State Parks Earn Highest Rank For Sustainability

Four Upper Cumberland State Parks have received the highest honor from TDEC for their efforts in environmental sustainability.
