Cumberland County Sheriff Casey Cox has announced Cumberland County will once again take part in the National Prescription Drug Take-Back Initiative on Saturday, October 27 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. His office, in conjunction with the Drug Enforcement Administration, is fully engaged in helping citizens of the county properly dispose of unused or expired prescription drugs.
The national drug take-back effort not only prevents medicine-chest clutter and potential confusion about which medications patients should take, but keeps potentially dangerous drugs out of the hands of those who might abuse them. Further, it cuts down on crime and may save lives.
The Prescription Drug Take-Back will be held at the Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office, 90 Justice Center Drive in Crossville – across from Cumberland Medical Center.
