Cumberland County High Stadium Renovations Complete

Renovations to the Cumberland County High School football stadium wrapped up this month.

That according to Kim Chamberlin with Upland Design Group.

“All the work seems to be done. I guess were looking forward to the first football game a week from tomorrow night,” Chamberlin said. “We did have one little call this morning. [Principal] John Hall called me to say we had a leak. One of the air conditioning units in the concessions stand had stopped up. The contractor got back over there, so we should get that taken care of. We’re just working some little bugs out.”

The renovation work began more than a year ago. The $2.4 million project improved interior structures within the stadium including new restrooms, guest locker rooms, and concessions.

“We have received a lot of very good comments,” Director of Schools Janet Graham said. “It looks great. I think CCH is very proud of their improvements.”

Chamberlin announced the completion of the work during Thursday night’s board of education meeting.
