A woman has entered a plea in a child abuse case that occurred this week.
Judge Larry Warner sentenced Jennifer DeYoung on Thursday to 11 months and 29 days probation. The 39-year-old DeYoung pleaded guilty to a lesser charge of attempted child endangerment.
Crossville Police charged DeYoung with child abuse on Monday after finding her two-year-old child alone in the middle of a street. A police report said the child wondered away from the Village Inn apartments after DeYoung fell asleep.
DeYoung would have charges dismissed if she stays out of trouble during probation.
