The City of Crossville will consider purchasing new design software for developing a new ten-year Capital Improvement Program.
City Manager Greg Wood said he will work to prepare a presentation on software options in the next two months.
“One comment I will make is Tim has done some homework and he has found some software programs to make this a much more manageable exercise,” Wood said. “If you all are interested in looking into that further.”
Director of Engineering Tim Begley said adopting new software would help the 2019-2028 Capital Improvement.
“If it will help us sort… once everybody got used to it,” Begley said. “I think it would probably cut down a quarter of the amount of time.”
Begley said preliminary costs result in a onetime fee of $1,400 and $700 annually.
The 2019-2028 Capital Improvement Program involves maintaining and improving city infrastructure. Projects in the program include work at the Crossville Memorial Airport, City Hall, and the Codes Department.
The city charter requires Crossville to adopt the Capital Improvement Program.
The City of Crossville will host a public hearing on Tuesday regarding the proposed 2019-2028 plan.
