Crossville Police have launched an investigation after a thief broke into a convenience store and stole thousands of dollars in cash and other items.
Investigators have not named any suspects at this time. The incident happened Sunday at the In&Out Gas Station on Sparta Highway.
A police report said Officer Brandon Griffin responded the business and observed the front glass door busted out. The owner reported that the intruder stole $1,300 cash, nearly $2,000 in cigarettes, and another $1,300 from a coin machine.
Due to the store’s surveillance camera not working, police could not get a description of the suspect.
