Cookeville Regional Medical Center will lift flu restrictions Tuesday.
The hospital implemented a temporary restriction on some visitors to help prevent the spread of illness during peak flu season.
The Center for Disease Control reports Tennessee only had local flu activity as of April 20 after being downgraded from ‘widespread’ to regional on March 9.
Visitors under 16 years of age will be able to visit CRMC for non-medical reasons with the flu restriction being lifted. Children and teens had previously been allowed in under special circumstances.
