CRMC Temporarily Pauses Vaccine Mandate Due To Injunction

Cookeville Regional Medical Center is temporarily suspending efforts of the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services vaccine mandate.

While the hospital has been going through the required processes for hospital staff and working to meet deadlines required by the mandate, a Louisiana federal judge issued an injunction Tuesday that temporarily pauses the implementation of a mandate nationwide.

CRMC said that while they await decisions on the issue from higher courts, all requests, including filled exemption requests, are on hold. The hospital said that they will continue to conduct the vaccine clinic at the hospital and will encourage all staff members to receive the vaccination to minimize the risk of transmission to patients and coworkers.

CRMC said in a press release, “We know this has been a hard decision for many of you, and we will continue to do all we can to ensure you are made aware of any changes to the law or to CRMC policy.”
