Cookeville Regional Medical Center (CRMC) plans to purchase Upper Cumberland Urology Associates.
CRMC CEO Paul Korth said the hospital board of trustees approved the acquisition earlier this month.
“That building and property is owned by two of the Urologist there right now, Dr. Lee Moore and Dr. Quinton Cancel,” Korth said. “Two appraisals were done. We got an appraisal and they got an appraisal and the average of the two is the agreed upon price. The price is $1,150,000.”
Cookeville City Council will consider approving the acquisition during Thursday’s meeting. Korth said the sale would include the building and equipment inside.
“It’s a very good medical office building,” Korth said. “We would start to operate that as a urology practice.”
The building sits at 310 and 320 N. Oak Avenue in Cookeville. Thursday’s city council meeting takes place at 5:30 p.m. inside city hall.
