A Cookeville woman faces multiple charges after kicking an officer in the face twice Tuesday.
Authorities arrested 28-year-old Amethyst Camp for assault, resisting arrest, public intoxication, and violation of bond conditions.
Officers made initial contact with Camp during the domestic assault investigation. Camp had to comply with bond conditions from a prior domestic assault charge.
According to arrest warrants, Camp had red watery eyes and an alcoholic beverage odor about her. Camp resisted arrest by using physical force against the officers.
While being placed into the police vehicle Camp kicked an officer twice in the face.
Authorities booked Camp into the Putnam County Jail on a $2,248 bail.
