The Cookeville Police Department arrested eight individuals Thursday as part of a human trafficking investigation.
CPD released a statement Friday saying undercover detectives and officers made the arrests after posing as patrons seeking to pay for sexual activity.

Among those arrested were: 33-year-old Joshua Meadows of Cookeville; 58-year-old Kevin Arber of Nashville; 20-year-old Sam Barrera of Gainesboro; 52-year-old Timothy Howell of Jamestown; 20-year-old Bobby McGill of Robbins; 45-year-old Matthew Kerney of Byrdstown; 59-year-old Michael Custer of Lebanon; and 38-year-old Amanda Conley of Cookeville.
