A Cookeville motorist faces a DUI charge after crashing through the Aqua Pools sign Wednesday.
Putnam County Sheriff’s deputies responded to a to a crash on Burgess School Rd where they identified the motorist as Tracy Mullins, 56.
According to arrest warrants, Mullins was unsteady on his feet, had slurred speech, red watery eyes and the odor of an intoxicating beverage about his breath.
Mullins failed to complete three field sobriety tests. Mullins also admitted drinking one beer with oxycodone and alprazolam.
Authorities advised Mullins of the implied consent law but Mullins refused to submit to a chemical test.
Officials received a search warrant to obtain a sample of Mullin’s blood.
Mullins was arrested on Wednesday and has since been released.
