Cookeville Man Charged With Murdering 23-Year-Old Fiancée

A Cookeville man has been charged with murdering his fiancée after she was found dead in her 12th Street apartment over the weekend.

Christian Luna arrested Monday in Carencro, Louisiana on first degree murder charges. He will be held there until extradition takes place.

Luna charged in the death of 23-year-old Lyndzy Bounds. The Cookeville Police Department initiated an investigation after finding Bounds deceased during a welfare check Sunday. Shortly after, Luna was identified as the suspect followed by a warrant for Luna’s arrest for first degree murder.

Bounds, formerly of Walnut Grove, Mississippi, and Luna, formerly of Lafayette, became engaged on Christmas.
