Construction crews continue to make progress on the $64 million Hormann facility in White County.
County Executive Denny Wayne Robinson said the building should be completed within the next year.
“It’s moving along nicely. The dirt work and the building pad has been completed and now we’re working on the foundation for the building,” Robinson said. “This is going to be a nice addition for White County.”
The German manufacturer of doors, garages, and door frames is building a 315,000 square foot facility to expand its American production in Sparta.
The project represents the single largest one-time financial investment of a new manufacturing facility in the history of White County.
Hormann plans to create approximately 200 jobs.
