Clay County Has New Marketing Video

Clay County has a new marketing face for their community.

Chamber of Commerce Executive Director Kevin Donaldson said this is thanks to a special video promotion opportunity.

“This is all part of a state economic community program that is designed to produce marketing videos for select counties,” Donaldson said. “We were fortunate to be one of only twelve counties statewide to be chosen this year, and we’re just so thankful that we were included in this.”

The program is through the Tennessee Department of Economic and Community Development (ECD). Every year they receive applications from other counties to provide marketing videos. Clay County sent applications in years past, but their 2019 application was the strongest.

The ECD teamed with Design Sensory, an advertising company in Knoxville. Donaldson said they produced four videos and took 200 still photos of businesses, citizens, and famous sites in the county.

“The videos will give us an online presence that we’ve never had before, and we would have never been able to pay for ourselves,” Donaldson said. “There was no dollar amount attached to this, but we could never have afforded on our own to produce videos of this quality.”

Director Donaldson said photos from Dale Hollow Lake and the Swinging Bridge have already reached up to 14,000 views.

“We want to drive people to our website so they can find out all that Clay County has to offer, and we feel like this will be something that will help us accomplish that,” Director Donaldson said. “Now when Clay County, Tennessee is entered into an online search engine we’ll have significant economic development video presence that will help attract companies and businesses here from now on.”
