Christmas Market Coming To Donaldson Park In Celina

Christmas comes to Donaldson Park in Celina this Saturday through The Christmas Market.

Donaldson Park Treasurer Sydney Birdwell said the event brings Christmas shopping, delicious food, live music and a visit with Santa.

“There will be about 25 to 30 vendors set up and there’s actually going to be a breakfast with Santa and the Grinch and Cindy Lou will also be making an appearance as well,” Birdwell said. “There will just be some fun things for the kids to do, hang out and play.”

Birdwell said the breakfast with Santa will be open from 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. Tickets will be $6 per child. Pictures with Santa will also be available at an additional cost. Birdwell said families can get some shopping done at the same time.

“Most of them are local,” Birdwell said. “There will be boutiques, food vendors, crafts and jewelry. Just things like that.”

Birdwell said public participation will help boost parks and recreation options in Celina. Birdwell said proceeds will go towards bringing a splash pad to Donaldson Park.

“Board members and then a lot of people in the community have actually came together to help,” Birdwell said. “It will be to benefit the city of Celina Donaldson Park and just raise money to get the park up and going again.”
