Unofficial Results Show Over 40 Percent Of Voters Participated In Putnam, Cumberland

Voter turnout in Tuesday’s election strong according to election officials. Unofficial results that include early voting numbers show that Putnam County saw more than 40 percent of registered voters participate. A total of 19,854 people voted. State Representative Paul Sherrell set for another term after receiving over 75 percent of the vote. Unofficial results show that Sherrell defeated Democratic Candidate Cheryl Womack Uselton.
