Joey Rich Elected As New Mayor Of Celina

Celina voters have elected Joey Rich to serve as the town’s new mayor. Rich defeated former Alderman Charlie Goad by receiving 373 total votes compared to Goad’s 131 votes. Cookeville Man Arrested Following Residential Burglary

Putnam County authorities have charged a Cookeville man with two counts of aggravated burglary. 48-year-old Michael Christopher Poston was arrested late last month following a residential burglary on Stone Seminary Road. Monday Afternoon Crash Kills 18-Year-Old Crossville Resident

A Monday afternoon car crash has taken the life of an 18-year-old Crossville resident. Crossville Police have identified the deceased as Dade Brown. Smithville Aldermen OK Firework Ordinance

It’s now legal to sell fireworks in Smithville at certain times of the year. Smithville aldermen unanimously approved the measure rolling back a 1982 ban on fireworks sales.
