Cumberland County Shooting Victim Identified

Cumberland County authorities have identified the person who died during a Saturday night shooting in Lake Tansi. Sheriff Casey Cox said 74-year-old Linda Damewood of Crossville was found dead at the scene. Authorities did not release the names of two other victims who suffered injuries. Substation Fire Leaves 9,000 Without Power in Crossville

Nearly 9,000 people in Crossville are without power Sunday morning. Cumberland County EMA Director Rick Williams reports the outage was caused by a fire at the city’s substation. One person is dead and two others wounded following a Saturday evening shooting in Cumberland County. The man who died in a Jackson County house fire has been identified as 46-year-old James Shannon Johnson. Authorities found Johnson inside a single-wide trailer that caught fire Friday morning.
