Putnam Trustee Issues Property Tax Reminder

Residents have until February 28 to pay property taxes in person at the Putnam County Trustee’s Office. Beginning March 1, interest rates will begin to accrue at 1.5-percent per month until paid. The Upper Cumberland Development District (UCDD) has received a grant from the Appalachian Regional Commission Substance Abuse Cohort Program. A Byrdstown man pleaded not guilty Wednesday to vehicular homicide charges. A grand jury indicted 39-year-old Michael Owens last month after a 2019 car crash killed 71-year-old Bob Allen of Cookeville.
