Carl MacLeod Resigns From Cumberland County Commission Seat

Ninth District Cumberland County Commissioner Carl MacLeod has resigned.

The Cumberland County Commission voted Monday night to declare his seat vacant. County Mayor Allen Foster said the commission will look to have the vacancy filled by January 21.

MacLeod has moved to South Carolina and submitted his resignation to Mayor Foster last week.

Anyone interested in filling the position can notify the county mayor’s office in writing by January 9 at noon. Those unable to notify the county mayor’s office may also be considered during the commission’s January 21 meeting.
