The Biz Foundry will officially celebrate the opening of a new Sparta office at a ribbon cutting Thursday.
President Jeff Brown said the new location marks the third in the region that provides entrepreneurs office space as they try to start a company.
“We’re charged with developing the entrepreneurial ecosystem in the region to help companies start and grow and provide jobs and create wealth,” Brown said.
The event begins at 4:30 Thursday. With the ribbon cutting, the Biz Foundry will host a young professionals networking event. Brown said Sparta is a growing community with new businesses on the rise.
“Cookeville is our main location where our offices are, but we also do co-working like the big cities have co-working buildings for remote workers and entrepreneurs,” Brown said. “We opened a location early last year in Sparta, and then we have a location in McMinnville, as well.”
Brown said the Biz Foundry is just now celebrating the opening due to the pandemic changing plans. Brown said a building over 100-years-old at 21 North Main Street was renovated for the office.
Brown said the building includes four private offices and space for up to 20 people to work. Brown said a large amount of remote employees also come to work at the location.
