Crews with Ben Lomand Connect are working to address several reported phone outages in their coverage area.
Customers first reported outages Wednesday morning in Warren and White Counties.
General Manager and CEO Lisa Cope released a statement Wednesday afternoon saying crews have restored service to some areas in their territory.
“This was an extremely abnormal event that took place at Ben Lomand Connect,” Cope wrote. “We are still gathering information and all departments are coming together to [remedy] the issue.”
Cope said more information will be provided when it becomes available. Ben Lomand covers the Crossville, McMinnville, Sparta, and Spencer areas.
Volunteer Electric Cooperative reported Wednesday that several of their customers in Byrdstown, Crossville, Jamestown, and Monterey also had trouble calling the company. No word on whether those issues are connected with the Ben Lomand outage.
