A Baxter man faces charges after allegedly stealing several items from a gas station car wash earlier this month.
Cookeville Police arrested 22-year-old James Goff Friday for burglary and booked him into the Putnam County Jail under $10,000 bond.
Arrest warrants state Goff entered a closed car wash at the BreadBox food store and gas station along South Willow Avenue on April 17.
Goff then allegedly took the car wash’s surveillance system, including four security cameras and a DVR. Warrants also indicate Goff took off with an air compressor, a 50-gallon drum of commercial soap, and several five-gallon containers of soap.
Police estimated the damages and value of the items totaled over $7,900. Warrants indicate GPM Investments, the owners of the BreadBox store, are seeking restitution.
Goff has since been released on bond and will appear in court June 3.
