A Baxter man faces two charges of aggravated and domestic assault following a dispute Wednesday evening.
Sean Doughlas McLaughlin, 29, is being held at the Putnam County Jail on $31,500 bond.
According to arrest warrants, the Putnam County Sheriff’s Department responded to a disturbance complaint at the home of McLaughlin’s sister.
The warrant indicates McLaughlin put his wife in a choke hold and pinned her on the couch with his hands around her neck.
Arrest warrants also indicate McLaughlin punched his sister in the chest after they threatened to call police. A two-year-old was reported to be in the home at the time of the incident as well, but was not listed as one of the assault victims.
McLaughlin was also charged with violation of parole. He is set to appear in court on Monday.
