Bank of Putnam County Presents Monterey Hometown Project with Check

The Bank of Putnam County presented the Monterey Hometown Project with a twelve thousand dollar check this morning.

Elizabeth Fournet is the Vice Chair of the Bank of Putnam County.

“It is coming from the bank. It is part of our contribution in Community Support Funding,” Fournet said. “And it is going to the Monterey Hometown Project to be used to help them celebrate the 125th anniversary.”

Fournet said the bank does not know how the committee will decide to spend the twelve thousand dollars. The bank did not request the funding to go for a specific project.

“Not that we have requested, so the committee will choose how the funding is used,” Fournet said. “We are just very excited to be doing this, to take care of our hometown.”

The Monterey Hometown Project is a group dedicated to the improvement of Monterey.
