Averitt Express has surpassed its goal to hire 1,200 veterans by 2020.
A press release indicates the company made the pledge in 2016 to support military veterans transitioning into civilian careers.
Averitt has all branches of the military including the Army, Navy, Marine Corps, Air Force, Coast Guard, and National Guard.
The release states that the company provides on-the-job training for veterans and their families. Service members eligible for GI Bill benefits can earn up to $1,140 a month tax-free as well.
Averitt hired the 1,200th veteran on July 9.
