Tennessee Tech Scores High Marks In State’s Funding Formula

Tennessee Tech has scored high marks in the state’s funding formula. Five Face Charges Related To Macon County Jail Escape

A grand jury has indicted three men who escaped from the Macon County Jail last month and two women who allegedly aided one of the escapees. Inmates Dylan Ferguson, Jeffery Strong, and Matthew White are each charged with felony escape, theft of property, and vandalism. All three are behind bars under $50,000 bond. Cumberland County To Pay Railroad Company Additional $5K

The Cumberland County Budget Committee has approved paying an additional $5,000 to purchase land under the Art Circle Library. Demolition of Fall Creek Falls Inn To Start In April

State officials have announced that Fall Creek Falls inn, restaurant, and conference center will officially close April 2nd in order to get ready for a $25 million rebuild. Officials said plans include demolishing two structures and building one inn with roughly 85 rooms, a restaurant, and conference center. Smithville Man Charged With Arson

DeKalb County authorities charged a Smithville man with aggravated arson after he allegedly shot a flare gun into home occupied by a woman and a child last week. Crossville Man Injured After Shotgun Accidentally Discharges

A Crossville man suffered injuries after a shotgun discharged and struck the man in the hand Sunday night. According to a police report, 30-year-old Daniel Parsons was cleaning the weapon when it accidentally discharged and almost severed his index finger. Parsons received treatment at U.T. TDOT Preparing For Potential Snow Showers Tuesday

PCSO Investigating Stabbing Incident

Putnam County authorities are investigating a stabbing that occurred Sunday between 7:00 and 8:00 p.m. Authorities said 27-year-old Jason Montgomery suffered a stab wound during an altercation with another man at a home on Eller Ridge Road.
