PCFD Investigating Monday Fire on Gibbons Road

No one was injured after a fire destroyed a home on Gibbons Road near Cookeville Monday.

A Monday morning fire on Gibbons Road near Cookeville is under investigation. Putnam County Fire Chief Tom Brown says crews were called to the residence around 3 a.m. to fight the blaze. “There was one occupant at home at the time. Putnam Commission to Consider New Jail Health System Monday

Putnam County Commissioners will consider a new healthcare contract for the county jail Monday. The county’s Fiscal Review Committee approved a budget amendment for the sheriff’s office last week to cover the contract, doubling their budget to $1.3 million. Celina Man Dies After Collision with Garbage Truck

A Celina man died Friday morning following a head-on collision with a garbage truck in Clay County.
