Spencer Utility Worker Killed In Trench Collapse Identified

A Spencer utility worker who died after a trench collapsed Tuesday has been identified. Spencer city officials released a statement Wednesday that Mickey Fisher passed away while responding to a water leak on Phifer Mine Road. Putnam County Sees Increase in March Building Permits

Putnam County saw a sharp increase in new building permits for March after a slow winter season. County Mayor Randy Porter reports 31 total building permits were issued last month, the most since October in which 38 permits were issued.
