Trial For Ghearing Moved To September

The trial for an Upper Cumberland doctor facing federal drug charges has been moved to September. Gilbert Ross Ghearing of Livingston faces charges for violation of the Controlled Substances Act. He allegedly prescribed Schedule II and IV drugs outside the usual course of practice. Around 150 Tested Over Weekend In Van Buren, Pickett

The state tested 164 residents in Van Buren County Saturday and 149 people in Pickett County Sunday. Expect I-40 Delays In Eastern Cumberland Co

Expect delays on I-40 in Cumberland County this week as T-DOT crews conduct paving and milling around mile marker 326. Jackson County COVID-19 cases increased to 11 according to Saturday’s data from the Tennessee Department of Health. 251 COVID-19 cases across the Upper Cumberland were reported Saturday. Schemling’s New Trial Denied By State Court Of Appeals

A man convicted by a Warren County Circuit Court jury of multiple drug charges lost his appeal to the State of Tennessee Court of Appeals. Todd Alan Schemling accused a McMinnville Police Officer of official misconduct and the trial court erred in sentencing him among his ten appeal claims. Tennessee Tech will hold its first session of summer classes online. Tennessee Tech President Phil Oldham said all online fees will be waived for the first session. Patients Recovering At Algood’s Signature Health

Two patients of Algood’s Signature Health Care Center have recovered from COVID-19. CEO Lee Rooney said one patient went home with family Friday. The second returned to the regular room.
