8th COVID Patient Dies At CRMC

An elderly COVID patient died at Cookeville Regional Tuesday night bringing the pandemic number to eight. CRMC Public Relations Director Melahn Finley said an elderly patient, dealing with underlying conditions, passed away. Since COVID arrived in March, CRMC has treated 105 patients. CRMC Hospitalizations Up To 26

Cookeville Regional Medical Center’s COVID case count reached 26 patients hospitalized Monday with seven in ICU. That is the highest hospitalization number recorded during the pandemic. NY Woman Jailed For Crossville Woman’s Death

A New York woman has been jailed in Crossville for the July, 2018 death of a Cumberland County Woman. 59-year-old Diana Lynn Grosso of Otisville, NY charged with one count of Second Degree Murder. NHC Cookeville Reporting 11 COVID Cases

The NHC Cookeville long-term care facility reported 11 positive COVID cases Sunday. The cluster includes six positive tests among patients and five positive tests among employees. One patient and one employee have already recovered. Another patient has been transferred to the hospital. Cookeville Man Charged With Rape Of Child

A Cookeville man faces two counts of rape of a child under 13. The Putnam County Sheriff’s Office Investigation Division arrested 34-year-old Derek Lee Hargis of Cookeville Friday. Cookeville Personnel Policy Updated

Cookeville City Council approved additions to the city’s personnel manual prohibiting any insignia or decal on city owned-property. The unanimous vote Thursday amended chapter five of the policy.
