Livingston residents can expect all water pressure issues to be resolved on Monday.
Mayor Curtis Hayes said a 12 inch water line burst along Highway 111 on Sunday morning causing outages and low pressure. Hayes said no residents should be without water or experiencing low pressure by the end of business hours.
“When you have a 12 inch main line that split right down the middle, it caused some problems,” Hayes said. “We had some valve problems that were not operating correctly. So it took a little time.”
Hayes said any delays in water pressure is just a matter of the city water tanks filling up after the line break. He said all water is safe to drink.
“There’s no need to boil their water or anything like that,” Hayes said. “Our water is still going through the water filtration and the filtration plant was not affected by anything.”
Hayes said crews worked to fix the break from 7:00 AM until 4:00 PM on Sunday.
