Algood PD Arrested Suspected Nashville Shooter After Chase

A suspected Nashville shooter was arrested for multiple charges in Algood Friday morning after eluding arrest.

Algood Officer John Bonnecarrere came across a white male painting his vehicle with a roller at the Manor Apartments. Bonnecarrere confronted the driver after learning he was wanted for questioning in a Nashville shooting.

During the encounter, the suspect entered his vehicle and rammed the officer’s patrol car. A pursuit ensued leading to Shag Rag Road where the driver lost control and struck a tree.

The driver was then arrested and charged with aggravated assault, reckless endangerment, drug paraphernalia and fleeing to elude arrest. A female passenger was also in the vehicle and was charged with possession of legend drugs and drug paraphernalia.

The driver was then transported to the Putnam County Jail. Metro Nashville Detectives were advised of the situation and traveled to Putnam County to interview the suspected shooter.

No one was injured from the incident.  Algood Police Department did not release the names or photographs of the individuals due to the investigation ongoing in Nashville.
