Algood Fire Hall Construction to Move Forward

The Algood Fire Hall construction will move forward in the coming months.

Kirk Dyer is the Mayor of Algood.

“We are looking at an October to November completion date,” Dyer said. “And be ready to move in.”

Dyer said construction will pick up speed now that the weather has cleared up.

“The pad work and construction are continuing,” Dyer said. “Now that the weather has broken and everything is taken care of from a contractional standpoint, then we will see a lot of motion in the next coming weeks.”

The Fire Hall affected the Algood budget for many years, Dyer said.

“That has been in our budget process for the past six to seven years,” Dyer said. “So seeing its completion will be very very outstanding.”

The Algood Fire Hall construction consists of renovations to the old building and an expansion.
