The Putnam County Election Commission needs additional poll pad workers.
Election Administrator Debbie Steidl said she’s trying to recruit the employees for the March 2020 election.
“We need extra because everybody won’t be able to work that we’re going to ask to work,” Steidl said. “In particular, we need two machine operators in Monterey. We don’t like to ask people to go from Cookeville to Monterey to work because that’s a long day.”
Election workers must attend a training school before working at the precincts. They also have to be a registered voter and resident of Putnam County.
If you would like to be an election worker you can pick up an application at the Election Commission office. Applications can also be found on the Election Commission website.
