A Smithville man charged with first degree murder after Smithville Police found his girlfriend dead Wednesday.
34-year old Simon Rodriguez Martinez being held in the Dekalb County Jail without bond. Police responded to a possible domestic violence call early Wednesday. Investigators found 38-year old Yuri Guerra dead inside a South Mountain Street home.
The TBI joined Smithville Police in the investigation and identified Martinez as the person responsible for Guerra’s death.
