WCTE Annual Dinner Celebrating Viewers, Tickets Available Now

Buy your tickets now to attend WCTE’s annual dinner.

The event takes place Tuesday March 22nd at the Leslie Town Centre. General Manager Avery Hutchins said the dinner returns in-person for the first time since 2019.

“They can expect to have a nice dinner,” Hutchins said. “We’re going to be recognizing several award recipients both from 20,21 and 22, and then we are going to have Orfeo String Quartet there. They’re going to be performing PBS themed music.”

Hutchins said people might be familiar with tunes from Sesame Street, Mr. Rogers and Downton Abbey. Hutchins said WCTE will also recognize the Volunteer of the Year.

“An amazing award and that’s really the heart of what WCTE needs from our community is volunteers,” Hutchins said. “We do events throughout the year we wouldn’t be able to do without those volunteers and contributors, so we always like to recognize somebody that has gone above and beyond.”

Two other award winners will be recognized. Hutchinson said the Maker’s Award will honor a trailblazer for women and the Joe Albrecht Award celebrates someone who does needed work behind the scenes. Hutchins said at the end of the day, the annual dinner is meant to celebrate the community.

Tickets are on sale now. Individual costs are $55 and table sponsors are $600, which includes (8) seats/tickets. The doors open at 5:30 and the dinner starts at 6:00. You can purchase yours at www.wcte.org/events/annual-dinner.
